In case you didn’t know Tijuana’s weather is one of the craziest in the whole world: one day it’s raining, the other we are 30ºC and the next night we have 4ºC. So ever since I was little my mom used to tell me always to carry a sweater, something that I never did because she carried them for me, but now that I’m getting old -joking, now that I spend most of my time outside I have developed a new skill: layering.

Creating layers in your outfit can help in a lot of ways, first and the most common: weather change. In my case I used 3 layers: top, sweater and trench coat, and believe it or not this day I used them all! The magic of the trench coat is that it keeps your warm in the inside, so if you wear it on top of a sweater it can be really warm, but you can also wear it with a light top to keep your arms protected in a chilly night. To keep myself warm at the end of the night I tried one of my favorite trends from last F/W season: tucked in hair. I think it looks really cute and it helps a lot, believe me! And well, now I plan my outfits depending on TJ’s weather instead of my mood like any other normal person.
En caso de que no lo sepas el clima de Tijuana es uno de los más locos del mundo y es que podemos despertar un día con 30ºC y a la noche siguiente estar a 4ºC. Así que desde que soy pequeña mi mamá me decía que siempre cargara con una chamarra, cosa que nunca hacía porque ella la traía por mi. Pero ahora que estoy más viejita -no es cierto, ahora que paso más tiempo en la calle he desarrollado una nueva habilidad: capas.
Crear capas en los conjuntos puede ayudar de muchas formas, la principal: los cambios de clima. En mi caso utilicé 3 capas: blusa, suéter y gabardina, y aunque no lo crean este día aproveche cada una. La magia de las gabardinas es que mantienen el calor de tu cuerpo, así que si usas un suéter debajo va a estar súper calientita, pero al mismo tiempo puedes usarla con una blusa ligera y servirá solo para cubrirte. Para mantenerme un poco más calientita en la noche utilize una de mis tendencias favoritas de la temporada otoño invierno del año pasado: cabello dentro de los cuellos. Creo que se ve muy lindo y ayuda mucho a mantener el calor, ¡créanme! Y bueno, ahora planeo mis conjuntos dependiendo del clima de Tijuana en lugar de como me sienta ese día.
