January theme: “Fresh Start” | product cost: $58.3 dlls (Without the bag)
1. Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm | $8.40
This was the surprise product of this month’s bag. It’s a lip balm/gel that works really, really well. The first time I used it I instantly felt the difference in my lips, it’s not sticky and the smell is awesome! Too bad it doesn’t taste like a mojito -hahaha. This product made and kept my lips very soft to the touch and it gives a great shine that isn’t too harsh like lipgloss.
2. Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow | $5.00
I was really excited to try this, first because their products are all natural and 100% vegan and I’ve never tried that before and also because I’ve read a lot of good reviews about the pigmentation, and yes, they are all true. The shadow is strong with a long stay and it is infused with coconut so it leaves a smooth, velvety finish.
3. Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush | $10.00
I can always use more makeup brushes. I don’t think I have too many but I certainly have enough. But, any time a new brush comes to town I use it and use it like there’s no tomorrow. This one is really soft and it’s also 100% synthetic bristles so it’s vegan and I find that amazing. I’m not a big fan of pink but it’s so soft I just love it.
4. Nourish organic renewing Eye cream avocado + argan | $19.99
I’m not used to using renewing products, I only have two face creams and they are moisturizing, and that’s because I always say “I’m not that old” but who am I kidding, I’m not getting any younger either. This is really hydrating and it’s pretty nice because it dries fast and doesn’t leave an oily finish. Luckily I don’t have dark under eyes or not that much to see a difference, but I find it relaxing to put some cream before going to bed.
Over all it was a good bag, but I didn’t get too excited about it. First I don’t see the match with the theme and second I’m getting too much of the same! But I mean, this was the best one talking about product-cost, I got 4 full size products and it’s always cool to try new brands. I really liked Pacifica’s formula, it is really pigmented and -side note- it smells really good!
