Freeman Face masks – Feeling Beautiful

freeman-face-mask4 months ago I went shopping to ULTA and I was looking for a daily face scrub because my Asepxia one went out of market. While I was there I saw so many options I had to ask for help and after being asked about my budget and my skin type, one girl took me to the Freeman section and long-story-short I bought two Freeman face masks from the “Feeling Beautiful” line.

Let me start by telling you that my skin is really hard and quite dry, but not that much, and I used to have just a tiny bit of acne, so I simply try to maintain my face clean and moisturized.

After a few months of using both masks here’s what I think.

Charcoal-Black-Sugar-Facial-Polishing-Mask-freeman1. Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask | $3.99 dollars
First of all, this product is one of Allure’s Best of Beauty 2013 Winners. On the downside, one of the bad things was that the flip-top lid on my tube refused to click into place, but then I learnt that you just have to push at the center of the cap and you’re done. In spite of that, it doesn’t get too messy if the lid doesn’t close firmly. Other thing is that I can’t use this product as a mask, it starts to “melt” almost immediately after application, so for me it works better as a physical exfoliator, not as a mask.

Now the good part: after using this product twice a week I feel my skin softer and brighter, also I don’t feel residue after removal– no greasy, sticky or oily feeling at all. Makeup applies smoothly and my skin never feels dry, tight or irritated after using this ‘scrub’. Sometimes I also use it as a body scrub (focusing on my elbows and knees) and it leaves my skin really clean and bright.

Pineapple-Facial-Enzyme-Mask-freeman2. Pineapple Facial Enzyme Mask | $3.99 dollars
This is not an Allure’s winner, but it’s my favorite, the smell is amazing! The formula is a thick gel base with tiny scrubbing grains. I have to admit that I’ve never used it as a face mask, I’m not that patient, but it works excellent as a daily face scrub. Sometimes I mix it with face cleanser and others I use it by its own and let it sit for 1 or 2 minutes only. It gently exfoliates as it moisturizes, leaving your skin softer and moisturized. This is definitely the best face scrub I own, it leaves my pores clean and my skin feels really fresh.

So, “bottoms up” for this face product, the relation cost-benefit is excellent. The best part is thatyou can buy a little try out for $1.99 dollars, but I would say: “go for it!” You’ll get an amazing, lasting and well made product.
