Last round for bare legs

This was my last chance wearing nothing on my legs in Santiago, and I can’t believe I’m about to experiment a real winter, with snow and everything. But I’m also excited, I’ve been doing some winter shopping and I just love it; big coats with scarfs and layers over layers. Definitely very different from what I’m used to.

[ezcol_2third_end]Have you ever made a purchase you loved, wore it once and then never wore it again? That’s what happened with this poncho, I go it for a christmas outfit and lovde it, but then I never wore it again because it was too hippie for me. So I gave it a final try by mixing it with pieces that I love, like a good blazer and a pencil skirt to make it look more chic and dressy. And then it hit me, you don’t really need that much to transform some (or most) pieces to something more elegant or less casual, its all in the mix. Like when you make a salad and there’s this vegetable you don’t like but you know it’s going to be good for you so you use it, but surrounded by other things that you do like. Haha weird example, but I hope it works. Also, I wanted to show off this cute scarf my mom made for me, I loved the color and it’s really soft.

In other matters, it’s July! Can you believe it? I can’t believe how quick time goes by! So, so, so many things have happened this year, I’m nervous and excited about this next half of the year! I honestly have no plans yet, but I like to keep it positive -haha. How’s your year going? I hope it’s going great and if not, remember there’s always ways to make things right, and almost every time they come easily with a change of attitude.Esta fue mi última oportunidad de salir sin nada en mis piernas en Santiago. No puedo creer que estoy a punto de experimentar un invierno de verdad, con nieve y todo. Pero también estoy emocionada, he estado haciendo algunas compras de invierno y me encantan; abrigos grandes con bufandas y capas sobre capas. Definitivamente muy diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrada.

¿Alguna vez has hecho una compra que amaste, la usaste una vez y luego quedó en el fondo de tu armario? Eso es lo que pasó con este poncho, lo compré para navidad y me encantó, pero después nunca lo usé porque sentí que era demasiado hippie para mí. Así que decidí darle un último intento mezclándolo con piezas que me encantan, como una buen blazer y una falda lápiz para que se vea más elegante. Y entonces me di cuenta de que realmente no se necesita mucho para transformar algunas piezas (o la mayoría) en algo más elegante o menos casual, todo está en la mezcla. Es como cuando haces una ensalada y hay una verdura que no te gusta, pero sabes que te hace bien y la usas, pero rodeada de otras cosas que te gustan mucho, haha un ejemplo raro pero espero que funcione. También quería mostrar esta linda bufanda que mi mamá hizo para mí, me encantó el color y es muy suavecita.

En otro tema, ¡ya es julio! ¿Puedes creerlo? ¡No puedo creer lo rápido que pasa el tiempo! Han sucedido tantas cosas este año, estoy nerviosa y emocionada por la próxima mitad del año! Sinceramente, no tengo planes todavía, pero me gusta ser positiva. ¿Cómo va tu año? Espero que muy bien y si no, recuerda que siempre hay formas de mejorar las cosas y usualmente vienen más fácil con un cambio de actitud.
