For the cold days

I remember waking up with 6ºC this day, and it was like 9-10 a.m. I was really scared to leave my bed, but I had to because I was going to be running errands the whole day, so layers & sneakers where my go-to. I recently got my very first ‘big ass coat’ and I love it to death, it’s so easy to style and wide enough to wear 2-3 layers under it. Although it’s really cozy by its own.

[/ezcol_1third][ezcol_2third_end]I’ve never been in such a cold situation like I’m in Santiago right now. The snow through my window looks fantastic, but te cold doesn’t feel good in my everyday basis. I knew I was going to have a lot of problems adapting to this weather, specially because I didn’t have any wool coat or even a coat for starters, because I didn’t really need one. Besides that, I have to get used to having things in my arms, it might sound silly to you, but I’d never experienced before the lack of mobility in my arms due the layers.

I remember looking up to blogs based on NYC or Paris in winter, telling myself I loved the looks and the big coats, and now that I’m experiencing the low temperatures I’m not so sure about it. Jk, I love cold weather, the clothes are beautiful and you can actually make it warm and cozy.Recuerdo despertar a 6ºC este día, y eran como las 9-10 am. Estaba tan asusta de salir de la cama, pero tenía que hacerlo, tenía que hacer mandados todo el día, así que las capas y sneakers fueron mi elección. Hace poco compré mi primer abrigo de verdad y estoy encantadísima con el, es tan fácil de combinar por el color y lo suficientemente amplio para llevar 2-3 capas debajo. Aunque ya es muy calientito por sí solo.

Nunca había estado en una situación tan fría como en Santiago en estos momentos. La nieve desde mi ventana se ve fantástica, pero el frío no se siente bien en mi día a día. Yo sabía que iba a tener un montón de problemas para adaptarme a este clima, especialmente porque no tenía ningún abrigo de lana, ni siquiera un abrigo ‘equis’ para empezar, porque realmente no necesitaba. Además de eso me tengo que acostumbrar a tener tanta tela en mis brazos, sé que puede sonar tonto, pero nunca había experimentado la falta de movilidad de los brazos debido las capas de tela.

Recuerdo que miraba blogs de Nueva York o París en invierno diciendo que me encantaba el ambiente y los grandes abrigos, pero ahora que estoy experimentando las bajas temperaturas no estoy tan segura de eso. No es cierto, me encanta el clima frío, la ropa es hermosa y es mejor, porque en verdad puedes hacer que el frío se quite y se regule tu temperatura corporal.[/ezcol_2third_end]
