I’m so predictable when it comes to my favorite red carpet pics, but there’s something I just love about princess like gowns and golden applications that drives me crazy. This year I noticed that the silver/metallic color made a huge appearance, and -correct me if I’m wrong- it’s a color you don’t see very often in red carpets. The color palette this year was SO pretty and also the amazing hand work of so many dresses, but I still was amazed by the amount of not-so-cute dresses this year; the shapes were awful and not at all flattering.
The Golden Globes gave us the path to know the upcoming red carpet trends for the awards season and, despite silver, I didn’t see anything new: red, yellow, embroidery, white and silver. My very favorite was the Lorena Sarbu from ‘Miss Golden Globes’ and then it’s a tie between the cute Reem Acra from Anna Faris and Lupita Nyong’o with that unexpected Giambattista Valli dress.
