Denim Overdose
When in doubt, cover your entire self in denim. I wanted to take this cool vintage denim jacket for a walk so I went all out with a denim overdose and decided to wear a total denim outfit with my little monster bag to give it a fun kick. I’m gonna be honest, this wasn’t an easy outfit to wear. First, I had to make sure to have enough contrast with all the pieces, and then I had to prepare my mind for the stares on the street.
Wearing a total denim outfit isn’t difficult, in fact, the only -important- rule to any total look is to mix in different textures and that’s it. But for me, the difficulty was outside my house, because people aren’t used to dress or see someone dressed like this. The key is to accept by advance that in this right moment you love how you look and move on. Most of the time I don’t mind, specially when it’s Sunday and there’s a food truck festival right across the street.

En caso de duda, cubre todo tu ser en denim. Quería sacar a pasear esta chaqueta vintage de mezclilla, así que tiré la casa por la ventana y decidí llevar un denim total look con mi bolsa monstruo para darle un toque divertido. Voy a ser honesta, este no fue un look fácil de llevar. En primer lugar, tuve que asegurarme de tener suficiente contraste con todas las piezas y luego tuve que preparar mi mente a las miradas en la calle.
Crear o usar un total denim look no es difícil, de hecho, la única regla -importante- a cualquier total look es mezclar diferentes texturas y eso es todo. Pero para mí, la dificultad estaba fuera de la casa, porque la gente no está acostumbrada a vestir o ver a alguien vestido así. La clave es aceptar por adelantado que en este momento te gusta cómo te ves y sólo ver para adelante. La mayoría de las veces no me importa, sobre todo cuando es domingo y hay un festival de food trucks justo cruzando la calle.
