Today I learned that when you feel sexy noting can stop you, not even a super heavy oversize denim jacket -haha. When I was putting together this look I just couldn’t stop listening in my head all the fashion ‘rules’ such as “wear something tight if the bottom is lose” or “Oversize pieces in big sizes only makes you look bigger”…

And well as you can see I didn’t give a damn and I dressed as I wanted. It’s by far one of my favorite outfits because: 1- I kind of challenged myself by fighting those rules, 2- It was super duper comfy! and 3- Because it made me feel confident with my body and myself.
I’m starting to see an evolution in my life and personality and it has transcended to my wardrobe. I’m trying to keep everything in place, simple and easy for me, but I also try to have fun with simple surprises like the edgy cut of this pencil skirt from Ary Villa’s last collection. I think statement pieces like this one are timeless and can add a ton of confidence and fun.
Hoy aprendí que cuando te sientes sexy nada puede detenerte, ni siquiera una chaqueta super pesada de mezclilla -haha. Cuando estaba armando este look no podía dejar de pensar en las ‘reglas’ de la moda que estaba rompiendo, como “cuando usas algo holgado la contraparte debe ser ajustada” o “lo oversize en tallas grandes solo te hace ver más grande”… Y bueno, como pueden ver no me importó y lo usé como quise. Puedo decir que es uno de mis outfits favoritos porque: 1- Me desafié a mi misma mientras peleaba con esas reglas, 2- Estaba super mega cómoda y 3- Me hizo sentir con mucha confianza en mi y mi cuerpo.
Estoy comenzando a notar una evolución en mi vida y personalidad, y esto se ha reflejado en mi guardarropa. Intento mantener todo en su lugar, simplificar las cosas y hacerlo más fácil, pero también intento divertirme con pequeñas sorpresas como con el interesante corte de esta falda de mi amigo diseñador Ary Villa. Creo que piezas tan únicas como estas son atemporales y añaden diversión y confianza instantánea.
