So, the day I came back to Tijuana, I was invited to a Fashion Show from ModiArt (a local fashion design school) where 8 designers presented their first collection. I’d met 2 of them before, but I’d only seen the work from one of them, so I was pretty excited about the show.
Ary Villa was the last one to present, and I have to applaud the way the show was closed. Even though some of his designs weren’t totally revolutionary, the consistency and style of the collection was flawless. I’m not a big fan of this kind of style, but I have to admit that from the almost 15 looks he presented, I fell in love with most of them. Also, I think that knowing how to mix the garments into my style will be easy, because it’s clear that he wants people to wear his clothes separately and mix them with their personal style.
The color pallet was pretty dark, and that’s because he presented a FW15 collection, from black to dark green and bits of white. I believe he was the only one who showed us a collection inspired in street style with pretty modern silhouettes, bold cuts and layers of fake leather that every fashionista must love. The white t-shits with phrases on where the hint to know that he’s aware of today’s trends. My favorite piece was the structured big coat followed by the long vests.

El día que regrese a Tijuana, estaba invitada a una pasarela de moda de la escuela de diseño ModiArt, donde 8 diseñadores presentarían su primera colección. Yo ya conocía a dos de ellos desde antes, pero solo había visto el trabajo de uno, así que estaba bastante emocionada.
Ary Villa fue el último en presentar, y tengo que aplaudir la forma de cerrar el evento. Incluso aunque uno que otro de sus diseños no fueron totalmente revolucionarios, la consistencia y el estilo de la colección fue perfecto. No soy muy fan de ese estilo, pero debo de admitir que de los casi 15 looks que presentó, me enamoré de casi todos. Además, creo que mezclar las piezas en mi estilo será fácil, ya que esta muy claro que lo que Ary quiere es que la gente utilice sus piezas, pero también que las pueda mezclar con su estilo propio.
Los colores de la colección fueron muy oscuros, eso porque él fue el único en presentar una colección otoño-invierno 2015, desde negro a verde oscuro y detalles en blanco. Creo que fue el único que nos mostró una colección totalmente inspirada en el street style con siluetas modernas, cortes atrevidos y paneles de cuero falso que cualquier fashionista adora. Las blusas blancas con frases fueron el detalle que me hizo saber que está muy atento a las tendencias actuales. Mi pieza favorita fue el abrigo y los chalecos largos.
